The Envelope and 997 Schemas are intended for
documents required for infrastructure support providing a means
for the existing software systems to authenticate, acknowledge and
verify trading entities and inbound/outbound documents. These
schemas will be flexible enough to support trading partners existing
EDI systems in place and will incorporate other requirements as have
been determined by other bodies working on
XML standards.
